Renew booking entity authorisation

About this service

This service allows you to renew your booking entity authorisation (BEA) online.

To use this service, you must apply within 30 days of your BEA expiring. If your BEA has expired greater than 30 days, you must submit a new application.

You can renew your BEA for up to a five-year term. The BEA is non-transferable and cannot be leased.

You will need the following documentation to renew:

1. All applicants
  • Your current BEA reference number
  • A valid TMR customer reference number (CRN) for each person on the BEA (up to 10 additional persons can be listed on the application)
  • An email address so you can receive notifications about your application
  • An accepted credit card to pay the renewal fee
  • A clearance letter/report issued by a relevant law enforcement authority of a foreign country is required for anyone who resided in another country for longer than 12 months in the past 10 years and was over 18 years of age for any period during that time.
Alternatively, if a person was listed on the initial BEA and has not travelled outside Australia in the period between the approval of the initial BEA and the date of the renewal application, the person may choose to provide a record of international travel movement from the Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs, for the period between the approval of the initial BEA and the date of the renewal application as evidence that they have not travelled outside of Australia during that period.
  • Any documents in a language other than English must be translated into English by a person accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) or an equivalent body recognised by a foreign government
  • If your BEA renewal is approved, you may continue to use your previously approved vehicle identification sign, or submit a new sign for approval with your BEA renewal application.
