Delivery of new cards and other departmental notices may be impacted by delivery delays due to the impact of COVID-19 on mail delivery times. Please retain your receipt as proof of driver licence/authority until your card is received. You do not need to contact the Department of Transport and Main Roads regarding your card until 21 days after your application or renewal date.
