Transfer a fine

About this service

This service should take 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

You can use this online service to transfer an unpaid fine for a camera-detected offence to another person or organisation. You can also transfer a fine to yourself.

You'll be able to view photos of the offence before you transfer the fine.

You must not submit a false nomination. It's a criminal offence. It can result in a police investigation, significant fines and imprisonment.

You cannot transfer a fine online if:

  • the fine has been paid
  • the fine is not for a camera-detected offence
  • you do not have a Queensland driver licence or customer reference number (CRN)
  • you do not know who was responsible for the offence (unless the vehicle was stolen or illegally taken)
  • the fine was issued more than 28 days ago (unless you're transferring the fine to yourself, this can be done up to 12 months after the fine was issued)
  • the fine is for an unregistered or uninsured vehicle offence and:
    • you sold or disposed of the vehicle after the offence
    • the vehicle was stolen or illegally taken, after the offence.
  • you do not have the details for the person or organisation you're transferring the fine to
  • you're acting on behalf of an organisation and do not hold a valid position title.

If you cannot transfer the fine online, see other ways to transfer.
