Enrol in hazard perception test

About this service

This service allows you to enrol in the hazard perception test.

The hazard perception test measures your ability to recognise and appropriately respond to potentially dangerous situations while driving or riding.

Who is the test for?

Learner licence holders
  • Who have held their car (C class) learner licence for at least 6 months
Motorcycle learner licence holders
  • Who hold an RE learner licence
P1 licence holders
  • Who have held their P1 licence for at least 12 months

Steps to enrol

To enrol, you must hold a current licence (not expired, suspended, surrendered or cancelled).

If your licence is expired you must renew your licence before enrolling for the hazard perception test.

1. Sign up or Log in

Log in if you have previously created an account.

2. Enter your customer details

You will need your driver licence number (customer reference number).

3. Enrol and pay

You will need a credit card to pay the test fee, unless you have already paid.
