Enrol in direct debit

About this service

This service should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

You can enrol in direct debit and pay your registration renewal if:

  • your registration is current
  • you're 18 years of age or older
  • you have a bank account or accepted credit or debit card
  • the registration is in your name (for registrations in 2 names, either person can enrol)
  • the registration is in a business name, if your name is also on the record.

Watch a step-by-step video on how to enrol.

If your registration is due to expire in the next 18 days, you'll need to make a one-time payment by card. You'll pay for your chosen registration period (for example, 1 month) as the last step of enrolling. Your direct debit will start for your next renewal.

If you need to change your CTP insurer, you'll need to do this before you enrol in direct debit.

You cannot use this service if:

  • your registration is expired, cancelled, or not eligible for direct debit
  • the registration is in the name of an organisation with an Australian Company Number (ACN)
  • you want to receive your notices (including renewals) by post. To set up direct debit you must agree to receive notices and reminders by email.
  • you've already enrolled and set up your payment details. Instead, log in to your transport account (My account) and manage your direct debit.
