Correct.

You can enrol in direct debit if:

  • your registration is current
  • you are at least 18 years old
  • your name is on the registration

Note: If the registration is in 2 names, either person can enrol in direct debit.

Registration in a business name?

You can't enrol in direct debit if:

  • your registration is expired
  • the registration is in the name of an organisation with an ACN (Australian Company Number)
  • the registration is not eligible for direct debit

How payments work—what you need to know

  • Nominate a card or bank account to pay your registration by direct debit every 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
(we accept Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards – a surcharge applies)
  • Direct debits are processed around 2 weeks before your registration is due (we'll remind you of the exact date)
  • We only make one attempt to debit your card or bank account, per registration period.
  • To compare the cost of 1, 3, 6 or 12 month registration, you can use the get a registration quote service.
