Check registration status

About this service

This service allows you to check details for Queensland registrations (current or expired). Information about the registered owner is not provided by this service.

You can search by either:

  • Registration number
    OR
  • VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
    Only for vehicles made since 1 January 1989
 

Note:
You cannot search by chassis, hull identification, or serial identification number.
You cannot check details for registrations that have been cancelled.

You can use this service to check:

  • registration status and expiry date
  • make, model and body shape
  • learner approved motorcycles
  • purpose of use – for example private, commercial
  • inspection due date – for vehicles that require a certificate of inspection (COI)
    (If a current COI is not recorded with us, certificate details will not be shown.)
