Check my demerit points

About this service

This free online service allows you to check:

  • if you have accumulated demerit points on your traffic history
  • the status of your Queensland driver licence
  • the class/es and type/s of licence you hold.

The service will show the number of demerit points you have accumulated during the period appropriate to your driver licence type.

  • Cancel

Your demerit points total may not reflect all offences.

Your demerit points total may not reflect:

  • enforcement actions for going over your demerit point limit (suspensions and good driving behaviour sanctions) yet to be applied to your driver licence
  • infringements that have not been finalised (for example, you have not paid the fine or you are disputing the infringement)
  • any offences that are being dealt with in court
  • unprocessed fine payments (for example, payments made at Australia Post)
  • infringements that have occurred before the accumulation period

Reasons you may not be able to use this service.

  • you have never held a driver licence
  • you have not held a current driver licence within the past 5 years
  • your driver licence has been transferred to another Australian state or territory
  • your driver licence is cancelled
  • you have a good driving behaviour (GDB) sanction or special hardship order (SHO/X3) condition applied on your driver licence.
