This service allows you to book a practical driving test to be licenced for the following types of vehicles:
Upgrading your licence
To upgrade your licence, you must have held your current licence for a minimum period:
This minimum period:
- must be within the past 5 years
- does not include time when your licence was suspended, surrendered, cancelled or expired
- does not have to be continuous—for example, if your licence was suspended, the time before the suspension started and after the suspension ended will both count towards the requirement).
Note: If you see limited test availability, it may be because you have not held your licence for the minimum period required. Please message us or call 13 23 80 if you have questions about your eligibility.
Interstate or overseas licences
If you held an interstate or overseas licence for part or all of your minimum period, please message us or call 13 23 80 before you book your test to confirm your eligibility.
We may need to verify details about your licence history. You may also need to provide proof that your licence allows you to learn to drive a higher vehicle class.
